In theory, practice and theory are the same. In practice they are not.
Our apprenticeship/mentorship programme is designed as an intensive course of study for those who want to master the classical method of pilates and maintain the integrity of the original method created by Joseph H. Pilates, as taught to Romana Kryzanowska. We are very happy to be working with Mejo Wiggin, to make our apprentice programme a truly one-of-a-kind course of study. You can find out more about Mejo and why we are super excited to have her working with us here!
Our intensive (18-24 months) apprenticeship/mentorship programme offers learners the opportunity to work within our established central London studio, guided by Dawne Likhodedova and our experienced teachers, with oversight and direction provided by Mejo. You will receive a solid understanding of the classical pilates system and the smooth transitions that offer a rhythmic, fluid and focused workout that improves strength, flexibility and endurance. You will learn how to use the classical method to progress a practice, how to be an effective hands-on instructor and how to modify exercises in the method to provide transformative, level appropriate workouts to a variety of clients.
We offer three opportunities to train with us:
NOTE: We only accept a small number of applicants onto our programme. Because of the commitment of our studio and teachers, we only run one full comprehensive course every 1.5 years. If you miss our deadline to register for the full 2018 programme, our next available start date for our comprehensive or bridge programmes will be in September 2019. If you are already a teacher, you may want to attend our continuing education courses until the next cycle begins to help you prepare for our programme.
