As a Balanced Body® Authorised Training Centre, bePilates aims to create well-rounded Pilates teachers with a solid foundation in both the traditional and contemporary Pilates repertoire.
We also offer teacher training in complementary modalities, Balanced Body® MOTR and Balanced Body® Bodhi Suspension Training, as well as informative and fun continuing education courses and workshops conveniently scheduled throughout the year.
Our courses teach and encourage critical thinking skills and provide historical perspectives. We cover indications and contraindications to each exercise, giving you the breadth of skills and depth of knowledge you need to work with a wide range of clients.
The Balanced Body® Pilates training program recognises three levels of achievement:
Balanced Body® Mat Instructor
Balanced Body® Reformer Instructor
Balanced Body® Comprehensive Instructor (including Trapeze/Towers, Chairs and Barrels)
Each level is presented in modules, so you can take your first course now, and continue your training next week, month or even next year. Each module is self-contained and upon successful completion of each module (and assigned observation, student teaching and self-practice hours), you’ll be designated as a Pilates student teacher at that level.
You will be required to complete additional personal practice, student teaching and observation hours between each module and before you will be able to take your final written and practical exam, qualifying you as Balanced Body® Pilates Mat, Reformer or Comprehensive Instructor.
We currently offer two options to help you complete your comprehensive certificate of completion:
Weekend Modules – You can take your first course now and continue your training when it is convenient or works into your budget – next week, next month, next year.
Intensive Modules – If you already have a solid foundation in pilates and the “fast track” is more your speed, this option is for you.
