Balanced Body® Apparatus 1 & Apparatus 2 Teacher Training Intensive (PMA CECs: 34)

Our Balanced Body® Pilates Apparatus instructor complete the Comprehensive Pilates instructor certification process.

Our courses include the complete repertoire on the Trapeze Table/Cadillac/Tower, Pilates Chairs, and Barrels.

Completing the additional apparatus courses give you a great variety of tools to use when working with clients and qualifies you to take the Balanced Body® Comprehensive Pilates teacher training exam.

Our Apparatus programme includes:

  • exercise instruction in the complete Pilates Trapeze Table/Cadillac/Tower, Pilates Chair and Barrels,
  • comprehensive manuals consistent with current industry standards,
  • cueing, coaching, safety and teaching tips for clients at different levels of ability and fitness,
  • program sequences for classes and personal training sessions, and
  • equipment safety and set up

Our Balanced Body® Apparatus 1 & Apparatus 2 Teacher Training Intensive includes both Apparatus 1 and Apparatus 2 modules and is appropriate for more advanced level practitioners or learners who have already completed a teacher training programme from another provider and are looking to bridge to Balanced Body.  

You will still need to complete Apparatus 3 coursework and requisite hours before you can test-out at the comprehensive level.

Balanced Body® Apparatus 1 (PMA CECs: 14 / REPS CPDs: 14)

In Apparatus 1, you will learn:

  • an introduction to the Pilates Trapeze Table (aka Cadillac), Tower, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, and Ladder Barrel
  • set-up and safety of apparatus to keep you and your clients safe
  • beginner exercises and thei common modifications, and
  • how to effectively sequence, cue and plan pilates private and open studio sessions

Balanced Body® Apparatus 2 (PMA CECs: 16 / REPS CPDs: 16)

In Apparatus 2, you will learn:

  • intermediate/advanced exercises and common modifications 
  • how to teach successful sessions for clients at different levels of ability
  • how to effectively sequence, cue and plan pilates private and open studio sessions

You must attend the entire training in order to pass the module.

Assessment Methods: Written and Practical


To become a fully qualified Balanced Body® Comprehensive Pilates Instructor, you must complete the following:

  • Anatomy,
  • Balanced Body® Mat Instructor Training or equivalent,
  • Balanced Body® Reformer Instructor Training or equivalent,
  • Balanced Body® Apparatus 1: course work, written and practical assessment,
  • Balanced Body® Apparatus 2: course work, written and practical assessment,
  • Balanced Body® Apparatus 3: course work, written and practical assessment,
  • 120 Personal practice hours and 230 Teaching hours or
  • 85 Personal sessions, 65 observations hours and 95 teaching hours, and 220 Student Teaching Hours
  • final written and practical test (additional charge: £276 VAT incl. / £248.40 for early registration)

Cancellation Policy / Terms & Conditions

  1. Full refund minus administrative fee (£66) if written notice of cancellation is received 30 days or more before course or workshop start date.
  2. If cancelled less than 30 days but more than 7, you will receive a partial refund (50% of fees paid) or if you'd like to reschedule to another scheduled course, an additional £66 administrative fee will be charged.
  3. If written notice of your cancellation is received less than 7 calendar days prior to the start of the course, you are not entitled to any refund.
  4. A no show on the day of the course results in no refund. You must attend the entire course in order to receive your certificate of completion.
  5. In the event of course or workshop cancellation bePilates is not responsible for any hotel, airline or transportation fees.
  6. bePilates reserves the right to cancel any course or workshop, in which case all fees will be refunded in full. We require a minimum of 3 learners per course for it to run and will notify you no less than 1-week before the start date, should we need to cancel for low participation.
